Sometimes fast weight loss can seem like an impossible goal to reach. You work out on a regular basis, count calories and avoid foods
that the experts deem “bad” for you, but still, you can’t seem to lose any weight. Maybe the problem is you’ve forgotten the basics of
weight loss. Try these fast weight loss tips to get you on track and shave off some pounds fast.
• Drink more water: Water is the easiest way of losing weight. Your body needs water to prevent dehydration and for completion of
various body functions. Water also acts as an appetite suppressant. Drink more water and you are likely to feel fuller longer and won’t
consume unnecessary calories. For women who may be carrying extra water weight from bloating increasing water consumption can
relive this problem.
• Drink your water ice cold: By drinking your water ice cold your body is forced to burn calories to warm it up and it helps you to burn a
few extra calories. This can really add up if you’re consuming 8 eight ounce glasses of water a day!
• Change your exercise habits: Exercise is absolutely essential to fast weight loss. Most people start off overdoing it and end up
quitting or only exercising for a few minutes at a time. Vary your exercise routine instead of relying on only one or two activities and find
exercise activities you enjoy doing. Belly dancing, yoga, martial arts are all fun activities that can burn calories.
• Break down your exercise routine: Most people find it impossible to fit in 30 minutes a day to exercise. The good news is you can
break this commitment down into 10 or 15 minute increments. Gradually increase the length of your exercises and the degree of
difficulty every few weeks for increased weight loss.
• Rearrange your plate: It’s not enough to cut back on foods high in fat. For fast weight loss, consume foods high in fiber and low in
calories. Increase consumption of fruits and vegetables. Leave meat off your plate for one meal a day and learn adequate portions for
meats and grains. Skip dessert and instead have a piece of fruit.
• Eat more often: Your body needs a constant supply of the energy it gains from food. For fast weight loss you should be eating every
2 to 3 hours. Never skip breakfast, which will quickly make you binge out and overeat through the rest of the day.
• Look at food labels: You may think you’re eating healthy just by buying items that claim to be made with grains, have less sugar and
sodium then you read the food label! Diet soda and low fat salad dressings may not offer any real benefits once you check out the
food label.
• Cut back calories: Track how many calories you consume for a week using a food diary. Now simply cut back 500 calories a week for
safe and fast weight loss.
