Healthy Weight Loss

Experts warn us again and again that healthy weight loss starts with breakfast. In fact, breakfast is the most important meal of the day.
Your body works very similar to a cars engine, it requires fuel to get from point to point. Though so many of us would never let our cars
drive around on empty we have no problem letting our bodies leave home without filling up the tank!

Though healthy weight loss starts with breakfast, not all breakfast menus are created equally. Eat right and you can have increased
energy and concentration throughout the day. Choose badly and you will probably feel grouchy and drained instead.

On the go: If you don’t have time for a traditional sit down breakfast that’s still no excuse! There are still plenty of options for healthy
weight loss breakfast foods, and they can all be eaten on the go. One container of yogurt can provide over one fourth of your daily
calcium intake. Stir in some fresh fruits and nuts to add protein and antioxidants.

Whole grain please: Whole grain breads especially wheat offers more nutrition for you. Whole grain waffles or baggles can be eaten
for a quick meal, limit the syrup or cream cheese used and consider a plain fruit top instead.

Fiber fortified: If choosing cereal for healthy weight loss make sure it contains three grams of fiber and choose products fortified with
soluble fiber to aid in lowering cholesterol. Oatmeal is a good option for hot cereal, for your cold cereal try adding soy milk for added
nutrients.

Sip it through a straw: Drink your way to a healthy breakfast with your blender. Simply smooth together low fat milk, fruit of your choice
and ice for several seconds. Pour into cup and you have a light refreshing breakfast.

Go traditional: Eggs are still a popular choice for breakfast. They are sources of protein and can be enjoyed boiled, scrambled or
poached for healthy options. Limit your intake to two and enjoy a couple of times a week.

Stick with sugar free drinks instead. Soda and other sugary drinks contain large amounts of calories and throw your blood sugar levels
out of whack convincing making you hungrier faster. Drink water or some sugar free tea with your breakfast instead.

So what should you avoid eating for breakfast? As good as they might be doughnuts and other pastries have little nutritional value and
won’t fill you up for long. Sure cookies, candies and chips are all convenient choices but they lack any nutritional value and will quickly
leave you feeling drained and incapable of functioning. Another breakfast favorite, coffee can leave you feeling jittery and as if you’re
going to crash after several hours have gone by. Don’t believe me? Track what you eat for a week and record how you felt throughout
the day.

To lose weight quickly and stay energized while you do it, remember to chose healthy weight loss options at breakfast and throughout
the day.
