Weight Loss Support

You don’t have to lose weight alone, there are people you can turn to for weight loss support. Sometimes, your willpower may be low,
or you just can’t work up the energy to get up and go to the gym to exercise. To often when we attempt to lose weight we do so in
secrecy, afraid that our family and friends are going to laugh at us or worse yet tell us we can’t do it.

With thinking like this you show a lack of trust in the people nearest to you. The truth is most of our family and friends are likely to be
supportive of our efforts to lose weight. After all they want us to have the energy to live a happy, fulfilling life. Asking them for aid can
be a simple process that can give you the weight loss support that you need.

Next time you’re out with family or friends let them know that you’re trying to lose weight. Ask them not to offer you unhealthy foods to
eat and make negative statements about your goals. Explain to them that losing weight is important to you and you are willing to make
the sacrifices that it demands. If you have anyone close to you who is also trying to lose weight it may be a good idea to become each
others weight loss support. By agreeing to work out together, and discuss diet plans and temptations you relive yourself of some of the
burden and loneliness of trying to lose weight. You also have someone who can cheer you on to success!

Your coworkers can also be a source of inspiration for weight loss. Most of us spend eight hours or more a day at work and often eat
breakfast and lunch with our coworkers. By sharing diet tips and advice with coworkers you gain more weight loss support. Consider
having weekly potluck days when each coworker brings a healthy food item to the office to share among everyone. Lunch time walks
with your coworkers can allow you to get in more exercise and get to your goal faster.

For those of us who still prefer to gain weight loss support from outside sources. Weight loss meetings are available in most locations.
You might benefit from the fact that the other people have similar amounts of weight to lose and won’t judge you. Weight loss support
groups are usually able to deal with the psychological problems associated with being overweight and meetings can be attended as
little or as often as you may need them.

For fast weight loss support, online support groups and buddy systems can offer you quick motivation when you need it most. The
anonymous setup may allow you to be more open and honest than you would be in person. Of course you can always rely on your
doctor, nutritionist and even your church pastor for weight loss support; all you have to do is ask!
